His Approval is What Counts

Did you know many of us are known offenders to please man over God. By Gods design, His approval is what counts thereby we obtain favor of man. For He uses those that are His and those that are not His.The amazing thing is when man favors us, that individual or group only knows what God instructed them to do. That then keeps the accountability off the recipient or the one who God has approved. The one who showed favor is thereby accountable to God. Either way God gets His  work accomplished in the earth through His resources as He is our main source. For so long man has tried to please man to get what they want when that was never really the direction we were to go.

What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and that faith was regarded as the basis of Abraham’s approval by God.” Romans 4:3 GW

Am I saying this now to win the approval of people or God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ’s servant.

The key has always been to be approved by God 1st, which is to be in full alignment with His truth. That is ultimately to obey God. The question then becomes, do we earn favor? No we never really earn favor we can’t do enough to earn favor but we can obtain His approval through obedience which leads to His favor. We are all favored in the body of Christ, however when God puts His seal of approval on one that He chooses it can’t be undone.

Personal Story:

As for me that was my struggle going back so many years ago as I always tried to gain the approval of man, when it was never about that at all. I presumed, that would get me where I wanted to go; it was never meant to point me in the direction God wanted me to go. The way to get where God wanted me was to be obedient of Him and move in His will for me. I learned much later in life it is more important to please God first. I must also point out to please God is not comfortable as it typically breaks a lot of rules that man has put in place without ever inquiring of Him first.

Biblical Story:

Take Esther, God hid her and at His appointed time she’d be revealed. As He raised her up for a destiny of purpose. It meant she first had to obey God to gain His approval of which He knew she’d obey. She did so at the appointed time, speaking up on behalf of her people, the Jews. First of all the rules God gave her; there is a time to speak and a time not to speak. When she spoke up she had to be sure this was the appointed time as her race was not known to man. As it was only to be revealed at the designated time. Also, at the time she spoke up it was not favorable for woman to speak up, as they were subservient. She also spoke up when it was not prudent for one to speak as you had to have an invite to speak. When she did speak, she did so at the behest of God. For you see He prompted her to speak up, only at the appointed time. Her purpose was to save her people and because God approved her she found favor with the king and Haman, her enemy.

And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti. Esther 2:17 kjv

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;Ecclesiastes 3:7 kjv

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. Esther 5:2 kjv

On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her. Esther 8:1 kjv

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. Psalm 41:11 kjv

What has God destined you to do as it begins with your obedience? Think on this, many times things are not happening because we have not obeyed God. In many instances we choose not to be obedient as we are seeking to please man over God. What God has charged us to do is not the popular thing and yes you will stand-out as we are to be peculiar. It is important to note that everything we need to fulfill our purpose it is already here, in order for us to move in it. Where do you stand this day with Gods approval of you?

Here is a song that encourages me: God favored Me by Hezekiah Walker/Marvin Sapp/DJ
