As quiet as its kept the phrase the blood, has massive meaning and packs bountiful benefits for every believer. As a result, this topic has been written and sung about in so many ways. I also pondered my Grandma Jenny’s way of always ending our conversation with, “stay under the blood”. Then there was the additional thought, how many ways can a person expound on this topic. As God would have it, He gave illumination to yet another piece to the puzzle, the Bible that is. Then I knew it is more important to be obedient and write, instead of suppressing the very thing He gave to me.  The blood, exploded within me and became a refreshing look at something so old. As yet something new and for such a time as this. I hope this newly shed light leaves a sweet and lasting impression on your heart.

Calvary – Golgotha

The location  where Jesus hung on the cross is nothing new. Calvary Golgotha’s mount, is the place where Jesus hung on the cross along with two criminals. This is not new as we learned this growing up, we taught our kids and grand-kids for those that have them. Where God gives added insight, this was the only time where an attempt of sacrificial offering took place. The time was Abraham with his son Isaac. It was an attempt that God never intended for him to carry out. Although, he had every intention to sacrifice his son, God knew Abraham’s heart. He had a bigger plan that would not take place for years to come and served a greater purpose.

When Abraham took his son to the spot, two significant things took place; obedience and his actions set the tone. To set the tone means to prepare the way for what’s to come. After his obedience Golgotha’s mount became known for something else. That spot then became know as sacrificial offering. Also, after the tone was set no one else was sacrificed on that mount, until Jesus Christ and the two criminals. Even though this took place so many years ago it became the precedence again for what was to come. The precedence was and is, God always sets the tone before something great takes place.

Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave[c]and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Philippians 2:6-8 nlt

Ultimate Gift

Just as the Bible is the same yesterday, today, and forever more, that too holds true for the blood. The significance of the shed blood of Jesus, over two thousand plus years ago are the benefits we received:JES_FROG_BLOOD

  • power – ability to conquer things on earth
  • healing – pray, speak, and receive healing for your body
  • deliverance – the very thing that has you bound and then broken

To fully understand the weighted benefits of Jesus shed blood we must expound on the ultimate selfless act , performed by Jesus. There was yet another three things that were beaming from this reference point

  • He did not have to do it
  • He could have come down from the cross
  • He knew His purpose

He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin
and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 nlt

He desired to experience the very things that man had gone through to allow us the opportunity to benefit from the ultimate gift. We could say, Jesus was treated like a criminal and greater so that we would live freely. No man would have paid such a price, but Jesus did.

This is relevant today because the Lord set the tone way back then and He still does the same today. Just know that when you move in His will and purpose for your life He has already prepared the way.

These two songs have encouraged me, hope the same is for you: His Blood Still Works & O’ The Blood.
