I Need a Refreshing – Part II

FROG_REFRESHINGOne of my 1st post was “I need a refreshing”, at that time I was not sure what a refreshing was. I have since been enlightened. A refreshing is, a renewing of your mind, thoughts and ways. It became clear to me along this journey as well as in previous storms, we do things that don’t line-up with God’s word. That’s where we need to refresh in him. His grace is sufficient for you and me. God knew we would experience temptations and fall prey to them as we move in the earth. HE loves us so much that he gave us grace to get through any bad choices we’ve made.

22. The faithful love of the Lord never ends. His mercies never cease. 23. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT.

It is important for us to know Jesus paid it all, he doesn’t have to die on the cross again. It is done. Stop beating yourself up and walk in his grace as his mercies are new every morning. That is the refreshing. Know who you are in Christ Jesus. God knew we would struggle along the
way and that’s where his grace fits like a glove for believers. I bet you are thinking doesn’t that give us card blanche? No it doesn’t because as you transform and grow as a believer you become less and less of the old you and more of the spirit man God wants us all to be. Thats a lot to take in right? Yes, here is the easy part; read the next scripture and ask yourself did you know that God knows everything about you? Yes he does.

O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me Psalms 139:1 NLT.

The God we serve loves us so much and knows everything about us that he gave us his grace as we move and have our being right here on earth.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard Romans 3:23 NLT.

Biblical example: David did what he did and he still did the things God called him to do. This example is not to glorify what David did only to point out in that day David did things outside of the will of God. As a result he experienced great heartache. In the end of the thing – no matter his free will choices – he did what God called him to do. Not only was there grace in that day, God’s will was done and most importantly God had the final say. This also lets us know God’s will for our life and HIS final say are one in the same.

Todays example: We have done things that we are not proud of and it keeps us from coming to God. We are waddling in guilt and constantly condeming ourselves. If thats you, today is your day to refresh yourself in Jesus. We must know that no matter what we have done God freely forgives us and does not hold it against us. Thats Gods love for us. Once I obtained clarity on this, I know I am free in Jesus.

Have you refreshed yourself in Jesus lately? If your answer is yes, you are on your way to experiencing God’s goodness for your life. If you haven’t refreshed daily in Jesus, don’t condemn yourself. Spend time in the Lord and refresh. HE won’t bring it up again, why should you.

But he said to me “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” 2 Cor. 12:9 NLT.

Reblogged this on Fully Rely On God and commented:

To Refresh in God is perfect timing. Refresh means to renew yourself in Him. Have you refreshed in Him lately? If not, there is no condemnation as the time is now.
