An Invitation

In light of everything that is happening in our world as well as in my own personal life, it came to me. It’s about winning souls for Christ.  You have received a lot of invitations and you have accepted here and there. This is one invitation you won’t want to miss out on. It is a chance to accept and receive what God wants everyone to have. It is you that makes this choice.

The invitation is to accept Jesus as your own, personal savior. Do you know him for yourself? If your answer is no, then you don’t want another day to go by without knowing and knowing and knowing, that you have accepted Jesus as your own. How many more tragic things must you see and hear of and not know him? All of these occurrences are happening and will continue to happen until one day when Jesus returns. Don’t you want to be self-assured that you will be lifted up with all other believers. You are probably thinking this invitation does not apply to me, I’ve done so many bad things. He receives us all no matter what, you just need to accept and receive him.

17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun Romans 5 nlt!

Ask him to cleanse you from everything that is not of him and to come into your heart. Today you can become a new person in Christ Jesus. Then ask him to be Lord of your life. Once you pray these words allowed you are transformed. If you ask, how am I new in him? You are new because you opened your mouth and asked Jesus for all these things. The bible says ask and yea shall receive Matthew 7:7. Your request also lines up with Gods word as he wants us to be a new person in him. As you grow in the Lord your spirit man becomes greater. The old man, you know the things you use to do, is no more you laid it all down.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect Romans 12.

At the start of his diagnosis I remember leading Jordan to Christ, yes at nine years old. His child like faith allowed him to be open and receive Jesus in his heart. During the diagnosis, I later realized he received the Lord and allowed himself to be used as a light unto many. Most people saw his smile even as he went through so much within his body. That did not diminish his smile at all, it seemed to have gotten brighter.

A great example of his impact on people; there is specific woman who had just been diagnosed with the same as Jordan. She asked me, “what do you and Jordan have”? I could not understand her question at first. She explained, I saw you and Jordan waiting for treatment one day, he was in the wheel chair as you sat next to him. She said with a look of disbelief on her face, “you two were laughing, smiling and enjoying each others company”. She said I could not understand why, as he had a life ending diagnosis. I asked do you really want to know what it is? She said yes, I told her, “it is Jesus”. She had a look of shock on her face as if it had to be something more. The magnificent thing was and is, Jesus was the something more. Even though Jordan is not physically here it all comes back to winning souls. Through this journey people saw  his smile, courage, strength and light shining so brightly, which moved people to accept Jesus as Lord of their life.

Now, if you followed those steps you did it! You are a child of God. Get yourself into a good bible based church this will help with your new walk. Listen to this song, hope it encourages you as it definitely encouraged me.

Here is a song to encourage you: Bow My Spirit by Bishop Leonard Scott
